I put walls up because sometimes, I think it’s too good to be true. I used to tell my friends and myself all the time that I deserve better than what I had at that moment - I just had to be patient. And you make me glad that I did wait and that I was patient. The wait was more than worth it.
But still, I keep thinking “What if…”. I can only hope that if anything ever came up, even something small that you suspect but you think it’s okay to ignore it, just tell me. That’s not too much for me to ask for, right? Just tell me so that I can prepare myself and give myself a head start to accepting it.
